Truss House is a contemporary art space in Denver's RiNo Arts District, a creative neighborhood known for experimental programming and community-engaged work.
Parking: On-site parking available at RiNo Art Park. Additional street parking available on Arkins Court and surrounding streets.
Public Transit: RTD Bus Route 28 stops at Blake St & Walnut St (0.3 miles walking). Light rail: 38th & Blake Station on the A, B, G, and N Lines (0.6 miles walking).

Free and open to the public.
No tickets or registration required. This event is made possible in part by a grant from RiNo Arts District.

Physical Access: Truss House is wheelchair accessible. Accessible restroom facilities available.
Seating: Limited seating available. Visitors are welcome to stand or move through the space at their own pace.

- The installation takes place in a darkened space with video projection and ambient sound
- Sound levels are moderate and contemplative during exhibition hours, increasing during Saturday evening performances
- No strobe lights or sudden flashing
- This is a space for contemplation; respectful quiet is appreciated

What to Expect
Visit Duration: Plan for 20-40 minutes with the exhibition, though you're welcome to stay longer. Saturday evening performances run several hours (specific schedule TBD).
The Experience:
- Move through mixed-media installations exploring grief, memory, and resilience
- Experience a generative soundscape and video responding to visitor contributions
- Interact with the installation—read others' expressions of loss, contribute your own
- Saturday evening: witness poetry and music performances transforming the space into living ritual
Photography Policy: Personal photography welcome. Please be respectful of other visitors and performers. Flash photography discouraged during performances. Social media sharing encouraged—tag #TheHouseOfMourning.
Guidelines:
- This is a contemplative space; respectful quiet appreciated
- Conversation is fine; loud talking less so
- Messages you contribute will be visible to all visitors
- Touch artwork only where explicitly invited
Saturday Evening Performances
Specific schedule to be announced. Performances will include:
- 3 poetry/spoken word performances (approximately 15 minutes each)
- 2 music performances (approximately 45 minutes each)
- DJ set until close (2:00 AM hard cutoff)
Performance lineup and set times will be updated as confirmed.

What to Bring: Just yourself. Water bottles welcome. Consider wearing layers—venue temperature may vary.
Dress Code: No formal dress code. The aesthetic draws on medieval mourning, gothic atmospheres, and sacred ritual. Wear what makes you feel present and comfortable.
Age: All ages welcome. Content explores grief and loss; parents should use discretion with young children.
Food & Drink: Light refreshments will be provided during Friday's opening reception. Details TBD.
